Paramore has been removed from the AOL 'sessions under cover' because of cheaters rigging the poll. But according to Kelly from AOL, they are still considering them to do the sessions. "Misery Business" is up for download on both itunes and the FBR webstore (both $1.99) Colinhaslj pointed out the pros and cons for us: FBR Version Pros: No DRM, meaning you can play it back with any player on your computer, and you can also share it with your friends without having to authorize them. Cons: Worse image quality, harder to play back on local computer, is not truly widescreen, and as you can see, is a little stretched versus the iTunes version Screenshot iTunes Version Pros: Better image quality, seems to play without skipping much more often, truly widescreen for better overall playback Cons: Has DRM, which means you can only really play it via iTunes and you can't share it with friends without authorization Screenshot A RECENT MYSPACE BULLETIN POSTED BY THE BAND: 95,826 ??? Escudero Paramore chose
a hard-hitting track to introduce fans to their sophomore effort, RIOT!,
due out June 12. The first single, “Misery Business,” is upbeat and
hard-rocking, and it details a girl the Nashville-based band knew who used her
body to manipulate a guy. Singer Haley Williams sings, “She’s got a body like an
hourglass that’s tickin’ like a clock…when I thought he was mine, she caught him
by the mouth.”azcentral.com May. 3, 2007 03:52 PM “We just all agreed that was the song we wanted to go out there with at first, just make a statement with our record and say, ‘This is what we’re all about, this is us now,’ and it’s a very bold and aggressive song,” said guitarist Josh Farro. “We saw the way (the situation) affected him, and it was really hard for all of us, especially for Haley, and she had kept that in for so long, and when it finally came out, it came out in the song, and she feels really good about it, and there are no regrets.” Farro said the album has both dark and uplifting sides to it, and lyrical themes center on frustration toward people who have let the band down but also on a feeling of hope to get through tough situations. “It’s not like anything out there right now,” Farro said. “I think it’s really authentic and original. There’s a song on it for everyone.” Farro said unlike their debut album, All We Know Is Falling, which was recorded in three weeks, this time around the band had three months to perfect the songs with producer David Bendeth. “When we recorded the first record, we definitely were rushed,” Farro said. “We all wish we could have spent a little more time on it… Making RIOT!, it definitely was a better experience because we had time to work through every little detail of every song, and we’re completely satisfied about everything.” The increase in studio time came after the band signed with Atlantic Records (they are still on independent label Fueled By Ramen Records.) Now the band’s music is being pushed to radio and television, and Farro said the band is looking forward to the new exposure they’ll receive through being a part of a major label. “We’re definitely excited, and I think we’re nervous as well because you never know what could happen,” Farro said. “Now that we’re going more mainstream and going on the radio, we’re hoping that more kids will latch on to our songs and really like it.” Without radio play, though, the band is already regularly seeing crowds larger than 1,000 people at their shows. “So many fans are coming out, and it’s been completely unexpected,” Farro said. “They’re all just bouncing off the walls and going crazy when we play. It just makes us feel really good.” They are currently on a headlining tour with This Providence and Quietdrive, which comes to Marquee Theatre May 14, and Farro said compared to past tours, this bout is more stripped-down. “It’s pretty raw and energetic,” Farro said. “Last tour, we had a pretty trendy backdrop, and we dressed up really nice. This tour, we decided to go back to our roots and how we first started and more casually dressed and just a more intimate time with the fans.” Part of the band’s relatability is the members’ young ages, which range from 16-22. Despite getting involved in the music business while they were young, Farro said the band has confidence within the industry. “Everyone you’re working with, they’re old enough where they could be your parents,” Farro said. “We’ve all learned to stand our ground, and I think people have developed a respect for us. We don’t let people force things on us. We have a vision, and we’re very adamant about it, and we won’t even let labels get in the way of that.” They’ll also be playing the main stage on the Vans Warped Tour, which comes to Cricket Pavilion July 11. “We just love the whole lifestyle to it,” Farro said. “As cheesy as it sounds, it’s just like a huge summer camp.” On the current tour, the band is playing three new songs, and Farro said the members hope people will check out RIOT! when it hits stores next month. “It’s a great record all around,” Farro said. “We have so many different styles of music on there, I think everyone will enjoy it.”

April 26, 2007Paramore Article, New Paramore Merch, UK Dates, Scans & DownloadsA maturing sound for ParamoreSun Pop Music Critic
Originally published April 26, 2007
On their 2005 debut, All We Know Is Falling, the musician friends of Paramore just wanted to have fun."We wanted to tour and hope people would latch on to the music," says lead guitarist Josh Farro, the available spokesman for the teen emo-pop band.
The band, which plays Recher Theatre in Towson tomorrow night and the 9:30 Club in D.C. on Saturday, continues to build momentum for the June 12 release of its sophomore album, RIOT! But this time out, the music isn't all about being young and having fun. "We went with the title RIOT! because the definition we found was a controlled outburst of emotion," Farro says. "And we felt that went along with Hayley's lyrical format. Her lyrics are very honest about everyday relationships. They're deeper than what was on the first album." All We Know Is Falling boasted infectious, neon-colored bits of radio candy such as "Pressure" and "Emergency." The band's catchy, if predictable, approach (think Avril Lavigne tossed with a little Fall Out Boy) garnered the group a strong, mostly teen following. And although all of the members are still teens themselves, Farro says the band is eager to present a more mature, polished sound on RIOT! "Our playing is better," says the musician, who last week was playing a date with the band in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. "Our producer, David Bendeth [perhaps best known for his work with the Los Angeles rock band Ima Robot], pushed us and captured our sound. I think our growth really shows. It was totally new when we first started. We were just babies learning to walk." Paramore came together in Franklin, Tenn., in 2004. Williams, a 13-year-old aspiring singer whose family had recently moved to the Nashville suburb from Meridian, Miss., hooked up with the Farro brothers, who were forming a band at the time. Soon afterward, Davis joined. They honed their skills in school talent shows and in local clubs. Eventually, the band caught the attention of the Fueled by Ramen label and was signed in April 2005. On All We Know Is Falling, Paramore worked with James Wisner and Mike Green, best known for productions with Dashboard Confessional and Yellowcard, respectively. The CD hit stores in July of that year. "On that first tour, we did shows where five people showed up, then 50, then 100," Farro says. "But I'm glad we went that route, playing the smaller clubs. It humbled us to travel around in a 12-passenger van, and we'll remember that forever, whether we remain a band or not." Farro says the personal and musical growth on the road can be heard throughout the new album, which is currently being mixed and mastered in the studio. "There was more time to do this album than the last one," he says. "There's a lot more passion. The last one, we're proud of it. But we got a chance to say more on RIOT! We just hope the fans and even more will come on the ride." See Paramore at the Recher Theatre,
512 York Road in Towson, tomorrow night at 7. Tickets are $15 and are
available at Ticketmaster at 410-547-SEAT or ticketmaster.com. The
group also plays a 5 p.m. show Saturday at the 9:30 Club, 815 V St.

April 21, 2007"RIOT!" Tracklisting & Artwork , Pre-order "RIOT!" from FBR & Mary Bonney ArticleAP EXCLUSIVE: TRACKLISTING, COVER FOR NEW PARAMORE LP REVEALEDPosted by Scott Heisel on 20-Apr-07 @ 06:16 PM After calling in a few favors, trading off some rare vinyl and loaning our car to a suspicious dude with a weird moustache, AP has exclusively gotten hold of the tracklisting for Riot!, the new album from Tennessee-based pop-rock act Paramore. The 11-song disc clocks in at 38:37 and was produced by David Bendeth; it comes out June 12 on Atlantic/Fueled By Ramen. The tracklisting and cover art are below; click on the cover for a larger version. ![]() Riot! tracklisting: 1. For A Pessimist, I'm Pretty Optimistic 2. That's What You Get 3. Hallelujah 4. Misery Business 5. When It Rains 6. Let The Flames Begin 7. Miracle 8. crushcrushcrush 9. We Are Broken 10. Fences 11. Born For This You can pre-order "RIOT!" from the FBR webstore here. Sophomore rocker lands back-up gigBetween Facebook, MySpace and YouTube, our generation spends a lot of quasi-anonymous face time with one another. This explosion of communication often emphasizes, lines between social acceptance and isolation. On the flip side, our forays into interpersonal contact can establish true connections with our peers and even attain minor star status. One such success story is that of Mary Bonney, a sophomore at the College whose contest-winning YouTube video was her ticket to, internet notoriety. Bonney saw her chance earlier this year in a blog post by the pop-punk rock band Paramore (Atlantic Records). Their infectious, catchy songs and strong female vocalist struck a chord with Bonney, herself the lead singer of rock bank Beyond the Static. “We’ve been compared to Paramore,” Bonney said, “and I’d liked them for years before they announced a contest to find a backup singer for one of their new album tracks.” Within a day of the announcement, over 100 entries were posted on YouTube — videos that mostly showed entrants singing Paramore songs with acoustic accompaniment. “I almost didn’t enter,” Bonney admitted. “It was intimidating. But it wasn’t all about vocal talent; the contest also called for personality and creativity. I figured the band must have been so sick of videos at that point, so I decided to do something different.” 47,000 hits later, Bonney’s video has made its way through the YouTube community. Singing Paramore and bouncing through the halls of her boyfriend’s house in Washington, D.C., Bonney engages the help of family members and friends as she radiates energy and cheerful lyrics. The day the contest closed, Bonney relieved her anxiety by taking a stroll through the Sunken Garden. “My cell phone rang, and the number was restricted,” she recounted. “It was the president of Atlantic Records calling, and I just sat there in shock.” The trappings of celebrity descended swiftly on the singer, who took the train business-class to New Jersey on the day of the recording. At the station, a Lincoln Towncar picked up Bonney and her 16-year-old sister and drove them to the hotel where they spent the night. The next day, Bonney spent six hours in the studio with Paramore and two contest runner-ups. “For the first couple of hours they were still mixing the song [titled “Born for This”], so the bassist and the drummer made burgers on a massive grill outside. It was just like we were friends hanging out. One of the coolest things is that the members of Paramore know my name. They would recognize me if I came up and told them how much I admire them. I’m not just fan number 3000 anymore. This really has been one of the coolest experiences of my life.” Now that the contest and recording sessions are over, the fever pitch of newfound celebrity may have calmed in Bonney’s life, but the experience is far from over. Aside from recognition by the band and its fans, the singer can expect her name — not to mention her voice — to be released this June on Paramore’s second album, “RIOT!” Bonney is an example of the courage and talent ripe in the student body at the College, and as her story shows, appropriate recognition may very well be one gutsty, crafty YouTube video away.

(ps. we can not believe "Misery Business" is getting airplay on alternative stations. what in the world?!) love, paramore" ARTICLE ABOUT "MISERY BUSINESS" VIDEO:
AWARD-WINNING MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR SHANE DRAKE DIRECTS ANOTHER PARAMORE HIT Press release from: Shane Drake Published date: 04-20-2007 12:41 PM - CET - Leisure, Entertainment, Miscellaneous PR agency: MLC PR archiveprintpdf-versionmail (openPR) - Los Angeles, CA (April 19, 2007)— Award-winning music video director Shane Drake has been booking new music videos back to back in 2007. He is currently working on a new music video for Paramore’s new hit song “Misery Business.” The video was set to be shot in one day at Reseda High School approximately 15 miles north of Los Angeles, California. As a renowned visionary, Shane Drake is known for blissfully bringing to light a band’s true essence in every one of his videos. This music video will not be any different. According to Drake, each Paramore band member will be given ample coverage to highlight both their perpetual assault of rock and roll mayhem, as well as each member’s unique personality. Drake wants the video to accentuate the band’s real-life closeness via their specific interactions during their on-camera performance. “With Paramore’s dynamic performance as the centerpiece for this mesmerizing track we will unfold a tale of dastardly proportions. As the band rocks their viewer’s socks off, they will follow the path of a self-proclaimed diva’s destruction as she categorically ruins the lives of all those in her way, leaving a path of emotional wreckage in her wake,” says Drake. For more information, or to schedule an interview with Shane Drake, please contact Mona Loring of MLC PR at (805) 231-3182 or contact@monaloring.com. -30- About Shane Drake: Shane Drake has directed numerous music videos over the past five years for noteworthy bands such as Gym Class Heroes, Fall Out Boy and Hawthorne Heights. April 10, 2007PARAMORE: "Misery Business" (Clip, Lyrics, Info)![]() You can hear the clip at the band's purevolume, or myspace. The full audio will be released on Friday 13th on FBRplus.com Here's what the band had to say in their official LiveJournal community::: "and about forgiveness we're both supposed to have exchanged..." "you guys have really great ears. just for the record... even though you've pretty much got it. we're going to post the lyrics you've heard from "Misery Business", right here... right now! i'm in the business of misery let's take it from the top she's got a body like an hourglass that's tickin like a clock it's a matter of time before we all run out... when i thought he was mine she caught him by the mouth i waited eight long months she finally set him free i told him i can't lie he was the only one for me two weeks and we had caught on fire she's got it out for me but i wear the biggest smile ;-) whoa... i never meant to brag but i got him where i want him now whoa... it was never my intention to brag to steal it all away from you now but god does it feel so good cause i got him where i want him right now and if you could then you know you would cause god it just feels so it just feels so good. remember the "back from the almost dead" post? well... this song is a response to that dreadful question. "what are you afraid of?" thanks for posting all the responses and giving me and the dudes the courage to put out a song with as much honesty as this one. you guys motivate us... make us better. hope that you get something out of this one. as cliche as it is... the truth will set you free. and it has. enjoy RIOT! love, paramore" [You can view the "back from the almost dead" post here.] Check back on Friday when i'll have the full song and lyrics posted right here on Paramorefans.buzznet.com! Paramore are back, y'all.

I'm happy to see that you guys liked our new song. Thanks for loving it and all the nice things you said about it. It meant a lot after all the hard work we put into it. I think you guys will LOVE the record. Cause I sure am proud of it and so are the guys and girl. Well I have some news for you guys. Our good friends in the Chariot just came out with a new album called "The fiancee'" and you ALL should go pick it up cause it is freakin SAWEEEEET! seriously please support them and buy the album if you can. That would totally be amazing. Also, as some of you already know, hayley sang on one of the songs on the album. So thats another good reason to buy it! Well I can't wait to see you all in about 2 weeks. Love you guys josh. A recent livejournal post from David Bendeth (Producer of "RIOT!"): Hi, Nice to meet you all. I am writing this letter to introduce myself and thank you all for being so supportive on the Paramore record. It has been a long road as you all know. I am almost finished mixing the record and I have a few days left. I have to say It has been a real learning experience for me working with such great talent. We had all been talking for so long about making a record together that when it finally happened we all knew the challenge ahead of us. We have been pretty well isolated in my studio the past Three months working so hard everyday to give you all something to listen to that was special. My team of Dan Korneff, John Bender, and Kato Khandwala are such a big part of what I do everyday and everyone involved gave 110% for the cause. Everyday was a productive day, and the band never ceased to amaze me with their work ethic and their dedication to the music they create for you and themselves. I know it is a long time to wait until June, but please be patient, I know it will be worth the wait. The band really want to please their fans, they never comprimised the integrity of the music or the lyrics for a second. It is great to know and meet artists that are so talented and driven to perfection. They know they will be out playing these songs on the road for you every night and they were built for live performance. Please pay special attention to the lyrics when you get them eventually, Hayley really spent a lot of time thinking about what was important to her and the poetry of her thoughts are very special. We have all spared no expense to make this record, there were many discussions on many days about keeping the music very "Paramore" I truly belve we have kept to our word. We are so excited for you to hear this soon. Thanks for all your support and patience with us on Riot. We could not have done this without you!! regards, David Bendeth. The new song "Born For This", The 'Beyond The pit' interview, and the Anaheim live videos are all available for download here.
