New [official] Paramore LJ post & Article about "Misery Business" VideoNEW PARAMORE LIVEJOURNAL POST:
(www.paramoreband.livejournal.com) "alright!!! it's been far too long and for that we apologize. however, much has been done since the last time we spoke and we think you'll be happy with all of it! (we hope... ha). so, anyways... we just got back from LA on monday. we shot the video for "Misery Business" which by now, you probably now is our first single from RIOT! we got to work with our good friend Shane Drake... who shot the last two videos we did off of AWKIF. it was SOOO much fun. haha. good times. we're not exactly sure when it will be done and out for ya'll to see but we'll keep you posted about that. tomorrow will be our first show in SIX MONTHS! can you believe it? we are so excited... a little nervous... but mostly excited. ha. we aren't even gonna lie, we've had about 6 days of practice and it wasn't quite enough time. it's all we had really. we feel confident none the less that it's going to be amazing and we'll all have fun together. we should probably tell you that one of our good friends, Taylor York is going to come and fill in as back up guitar player for the next few tours. hopefully, he'll stay longer but as of now we have to go one (or two) tours at a time. he really adds a lot to the live show and we think you'll appreciate his talent and personality. actually, taylor was in one of the first bands that josh and i were in. the four of us wrote Conspiracy and O Star together as well as a couple songs on the new record. we've been friends for a while now and we're happy he was able to come help us out with the shows. again, thanks for putting up with us on all the changes with line up and stuff. it's been a long hard haul... but slowly but surely it's becoming what we've always dreamed of and we're positive that all the trials and hard times have strengthened us as a band and are making us who we are. you all know Ronnie, who appeared in the first of our WEBISODE mini series of 4 webisodes ha. he'll be tour managing us (hopefully forever) and you'll also see him behind the boards running sound. so, if you see him around the venue make sure to say hey and pump him up! we're lucky to have him. we also have a few other crew dudes out right now that are amazing. you'll definitely all be getting to know Aaron, who's going to be selling you merch every night. Evan and Josh N. will be teching for the first week or so... and then after Bamboozle, AJAX (YES THAT'S RIGHT) will be back out with us to stay. at least until warped tour is over. he's so excited to see all you guys again. we'll be posting pics and stuff soon. sorry we haven't really had the time. but now that we're sitting around on the van for a while each day and night... our updates should be more frequent. until then... we'll be watchin some Pimp My Ride (... uhhhh) and anxiously awaiting tomorrow night. thanks for being so patient and supportive of us - even when we haven't been out there every night for a while. we LOVE LOVE LOVE you guys. (ps. we can not believe "Misery Business" is getting airplay on alternative stations. what in the world?!) love, paramore" ARTICLE ABOUT "MISERY BUSINESS" VIDEO: AWARD-WINNING MUSIC VIDEO DIRECTOR SHANE DRAKE DIRECTS ANOTHER PARAMORE HIT Press release from: Shane Drake Published date: 04-20-2007 12:41 PM - CET - Leisure, Entertainment, Miscellaneous PR agency: MLC PR archiveprintpdf-versionmail (openPR) - Los Angeles, CA (April 19, 2007)— Award-winning music video director Shane Drake has been booking new music videos back to back in 2007. He is currently working on a new music video for Paramore’s new hit song “Misery Business.” The video was set to be shot in one day at Reseda High School approximately 15 miles north of Los Angeles, California. As a renowned visionary, Shane Drake is known for blissfully bringing to light a band’s true essence in every one of his videos. This music video will not be any different. According to Drake, each Paramore band member will be given ample coverage to highlight both their perpetual assault of rock and roll mayhem, as well as each member’s unique personality. Drake wants the video to accentuate the band’s real-life closeness via their specific interactions during their on-camera performance. “With Paramore’s dynamic performance as the centerpiece for this mesmerizing track we will unfold a tale of dastardly proportions. As the band rocks their viewer’s socks off, they will follow the path of a self-proclaimed diva’s destruction as she categorically ruins the lives of all those in her way, leaving a path of emotional wreckage in her wake,” says Drake.
